Diablo IV is kicking off a major new phase with the 3.1 Public Test Realm, running from June 2 at 10:00 a.m. PDT to June 9 at 10:00 a.m. PDT. This PTR gives PC players an early look at Season 14's biggest systems before they officially go live. The focus this time is on Solo Self Found mode, Mythic Uniques 3.0, the new Pandemonium Ruptures system, and the return of Realmwalkers Diablo 4 gold. Blizzard will be using feedback from this test to fine-tune balance, fix issues, and polish the final season experience.

One of the main highlights is Pandemonium Ruptures. These are chaotic rifts that appear across Sanctuary and introduce a new enemy type called the Risen. They come in different sizes: small Normal Ruptures that spawn in the open world, especially during Helltides; Surging Ruptures tied to local Helltide events; and massive Colossal Ruptures found in specific high-risk zones near Zarbinzet. Players trigger them by defeating guardians around Death's Head Idols, and the longer you keep them active by clearing enemies and closing Tears, the better the rewards become. Occasionally, Rupture Goblins show up as well, opening extra rifts for even more loot opportunities.

Realmwalker 2.0 also makes its return as a major endgame challenge. These encounters are triggered through high-level Ruptures and lead into a new activity called the Deathtoll Chamber. This is a compact mini-dungeon where players farm Betrayer's Husks, which are used to access Seasonal Lair Boss rewards in Torment I and above. Inside, you'll fight Gravehounds from the Risen faction and deal with Exarch enemies that absorb power orbs unless you intercept them first. It's a fast, high-intensity loop designed for endgame farming.

Another major system overhaul comes with Mythic Uniques 3.0. Instead of being a separate rarity, any Unique item can now become Mythic through item quality upgrades. These Mythic versions receive a 30% boost to their unique effects. Players can craft or earn them in several ways, including Pandemonium Fragments from the Seasonal Reputation board, drops from the Corrupted Reaper Lair Boss, Season Rank rewards, or rare world drops where Ancestral Uniques would normally appear. You can equip one crafted Mythic along with additional rare-drop Mythics, opening up much more flexibility in build crafting.

Solo Self Found mode finally arrives as a permanent seasonal option. In this mode, you play completely solo with no trading or partying, offering a more self-contained progression experience. SSF characters have their own leaderboards tied to the Tower system, allowing players to compete purely based on individual performance. While SSF characters can't interact with others during the season, they still share stash and progression within the same account SSF pool and will return to normal Eternal characters after the season ends.

The Tower and leaderboard system is also leaving beta with new cosmetic rewards, including Halos and Prestige Titles. Weekly resets reward top performers across multiple tiers, from Tier 100 clears to top global rankings, giving competitive players more reasons to push endgame content.

Players can create a seasonal test character and use boost options from NPC Mrak in major cities, who can instantly grant gold, materials, max aspects, runes, unique items, campaign completion, level 70, and even Paragon 200 for testing endgame systems. PC Game Pass players can also access it through the Xbox app linked to Battle.net, though console players are still excluded from PTR access buy Diablo 4 gold.

This PTR represents one of Diablo IV's most ambitious updates yet.
